Circulare

Circulare explores the circle as a geometric shape. The circular form, as a centripetal and continuous architectural element and contrasts with a reality that appears diffuse, imperfect, and always unfinished.

The project originates from the Ricardo Bofill Taller de Arquitectura in Sant Just Desvern, Barcelona.
It is an architectural reconversion project where an old cement factory from the 1970s—composed of several concrete silos has been transformed into the current architecture office and residence of the architect.

The series navigates the space from exterior to interior, exploring the relationship between the circular form and the void it generates. Through the repetition of circular shape, Circulare abstracts itself from context to capture the permanent and ethereal character, the fragility and solidity of that architecture which, far from belonging to a specific era, seeks to be timeless.
